Experienced Customs Entries Professional with Management Experience Wanted!
A well-established company in the logistics and freight forwarding industry is looking for an experienced Customs Entries professional with proven supervisory/managerial experience to join their Durban team.
⚠️ THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL CUSTOMS CLERK POSITION.
Applicants must have strong Customs Entries experience PLUS previous team leadership or management experience.
🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✔ Oversee and manage the processing and submission of import and export customs entries
✔ Lead, supervise and support the Customs Entries team
✔ Ensure compliance with SARS Customs legislation and regulations
✔ Review entries for accuracy, classification and compliance
✔ Handle and resolve complex customs-related queries and issues
✔ Liaise with clients, shipping lines, SARS and other relevant authorities
✔ Monitor workflow, deadlines and team performance
✔ Ensure a high level of service delivery and operational efficiency

Requirements
🔹 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✅ Minimum 3 years' experience in Customs Entries
✅ Previous supervisory, team leader or managerial experience is essential
✅ Strong knowledge of SARS Customs procedures, regulations and tariff codes
✅ Experience processing import and export customs entries
✅ Experience with CargoWise and/or SARS EDI advantageous
✅ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✅ Ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure
✅ High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
